All full-time faculty paid under the provisions
stipulated in Administrative Rule 4.03.003, shall be paid with end of the month
paychecks including pay during the summer months.
The month of December will be an exception to this rule. The Associate Vice President of Human
Resources and Vice President of Business Services shall establish the regular
schedule of pay dates at the beginning of each academic year. Any exception, besides December, to the
end of month paycheck must be approved in writing by the Associate Vice
President for Human Resources, the Vice President of Business Services and the
Associate Vice President for Information Technology. The request shall be initiated by
the Associate Vice President for Human Resources.
No request for a general exception shall be granted unless the three
stated administrators have carefully reviewed the request and determined any
information system requirements that would have to be undertaken to implement
such an exception. Exceptions shall
be rare and only after the above deliberative process has been followed and all
three of the parties are agreed that the exception will not cause payroll
errors. The Associate Vice
President of Human Resources will notify each affected faculty member at least
one month prior to the regular pay date or as soon as feasible, that a general
exception has been approved.
Both full-time and adjunct faculty may have
their paycheck for May or August mailed to their home residence of record. The Associate Vice President of Human
Resources shall send out a notification at the beginning of the Academic year
informing both full-time and adjunct faculty of this option and providing an
appropriate sign-off form or response mechanism to allow interested parties to
exercise this option.
